Every time we are in Croatia, Jenny, our daughters Madeline and Issalina and I visit Nono's village where he grew up and as a teenager helped build the railroad in a region near the Ucka mountain range on the Istrian peninsula. We always have a wonderful time visiting with Nono's relatives reminiscing and trying to predict the future of this beautiful valley.
